Robert Barton's role

His portfolio entry: "Led the bid to win 1,500 new homes, school and community centre. Contract completion within six months."

Moving from preferred bidder to signed contracts in six months on a site this size means the price, the planning position and the infrastructure obligations are agreed quickly, without reopening the deal.

What this means for a landowner selling or promoting land

Rob now leads Craftex's development partnerships. When you bring us land, we test it with a feasibility study and site appraisal and set out the routes open to you through land acquisition, options and promotion: sale, option, promotion or partnership.

We work on schemes from £3M to £150M GDV. Depending on the stage, Craftex can co-invest, take 100% of the risk, or work for a fee or a percentage.

Send us the address and what you know about the site. Our development team will tell you what it could support, and how we would take it forward. The appraisal is free. Before you choose anyone, read our guide on how to choose a development partner.
