After completing a series of office refurbishments for the same client, Craftex was appointed to design and deliver a new data centre facility within their London headquarters.
The client required a space that could host mission-critical IT systems with redundant power, advanced cooling, and full compliance with Tier 3 performance standards. This Data Centre Expansion & Infrastructure project demanded precision and reliability at every stage.
Craftex’s team led the end-to-end design, construction, and commissioning process, transforming an unused basement area into a fully operational, high-resilience data environment.

Our engineering and construction teams coordinated closely to deliver:

• Hot and cold aisle containment for efficient airflow and heat management.
• Structured CAT6A and fibre cabling for fast, organised, and scalable connectivity.
• Environmental monitoring systems (BMS integration) to track temperature, humidity, and energy performance in real time.

This robust foundation positioned the client’s facility to support both their current workloads and future expansion without structural rework.

Security and efficiency were at the heart of this build.
To meet industry standards, we implemented:

• Access-controlled server rooms with biometric authentication and CCTV surveillance.
• FM-200 fire suppression systems to protect sensitive equipment.
• High-efficiency CRAC units reducing energy consumption by 15%.
• Acoustic insulation and vibration damping, ensuring noise and interference remained below operational thresholds.

Our design also included modular layouts and raised flooring to simplify future upgrades or equipment changes, reducing disruption and downtime.

Throughout the 10-week construction phase, Craftex maintained full coordination with the client’s IT and facilities teams.
All works were staged to minimise disruption to adjacent office areas, with critical system commissioning completed over a single weekend to align with network maintenance schedules.
