Craftex was appointed to refurbish a private residence in Knightsbridge to a standard where the detail is everything. Prime residential clients notice what most people don't — the alignment of a joint, the weight of a door, the consistency of a finish across a room — and the brief was to deliver exactly that, discreetly, on a sensitive address surrounded by neighbours. We managed the project end to end, self-delivering the bespoke joinery that defines a home at this level.

A refurbishment on a prime residential street has to be invisible to everyone but the client. Craftex managed every trade directly, controlled noise and access, and protected the neighbours and the building throughout — one accountable team, minimal disruption, no surprises.
At the prime end of the market, finish quality is the product. We designed and built bespoke joinery, premium surfaces and detailing held to tolerances that survive close, daily inspection — the standard a discerning private client expects in every room.

Prime residential work is unforgiving because the client sees everything. We designed the refurbishment around bespoke joinery and a premium, restrained material palette — the kind of detailing that doesn't announce itself but rewards a closer look. Every layout, finish and fixing was agreed visually in advance, so the design conversation happened over drawings and samples, not in the middle of a live build.
Designing for a discerning eye
A Knightsbridge address allows no disruption and no margin for error. Our pre-construction phase covered a full survey of the existing home, a sequenced programme, and early procurement of the bespoke joinery and long-lead finishes that carry this level of work. Noise, access and neighbour-protection measures were planned in detail before anyone arrived on site.
